Step by step
- Copy the Twitter / X link. Tap the Share icon under the post, then Copy link.
- Paste it into the box. Open the Twitter / X Video Downloader (this page), paste the link into the box and press Download.
- Choose MP4 or MP3 and a quality. We detect the site, list every quality available and let you pick a format.
- Wait a few seconds and save. After a short countdown your file starts downloading. A Quick Pass skips the wait.
What works and what does not
Works for public posts that contain a video or GIF. Posts from protected accounts cannot be downloaded.
Choosing a quality
Pick the largest size your screen needs. Smaller files download faster and save storage; the highest quality is best for editing. Free downloads are capped at 720p, and a Quick Pass unlocks 1080p and above.
If the download fails
Check that the Twitter / X video is public and not deleted, copy the link again, and try once more. If it still fails, the site may require a login or restrict the video in your region, and it cannot be downloaded.

Frequently asked questions
How do I download a video from X (Twitter)?
Tap Share on the post, choose Copy link, paste it above and press Download. Links from twitter.com and x.com both work.
Can I save GIFs from X?
Yes. X stores GIFs as short MP4 videos, so they download as MP4 files.
Why can't I download a video from a post?
The account may be protected, the post deleted, or X may require a login to show it (for example sensitive content). Those cannot be fetched.
Does it work for videos in replies and quote posts?
Use the link of the post that actually contains the video. For a quote post, copy the link of the quoted post.
What quality are X videos?
Up to what the poster uploaded, commonly 720p to 1080p. We list each available quality.
